It’s been too long! Time to get a few blogs kicked out. 🙂
VMware recently announced the availability of the newest version of vSphere 6.5, including VSAN 6.6. There are some great new features of this release, but one feature I really am interested in, is the ability to deploy a vCenter Server Appliance to a single host running VSAN.
William Lam blogged about it here if you are interested. http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2017/04/native-vcsa-bootstrap-installer-in-vsan-6-6.html
I have run through the deployment process (which took approximately 27 minutes) and recorded it in a video blog demo.
